Worship & Prayer for Easter
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to rush right into Easter without really stopping to prepare our hearts for it? I mean, Easter comes around every year, right? But here's the thing—we don't want Easter to just be another date on the calendar. We want it to be an encounter with God—something that genuinely changes hearts, maybe even lives.
So today, instead of our usual service with a message and music, we're doing something a little different. We’re pausing intentionally to worship, reflect, and pray. Romans 12:1 reminds us that true worship isn’t just singing songs; it's offering ourselves—our whole hearts—as a living sacrifice. And that's exactly what today is about.
Today, we’re praying specifically. We’re praying for the people we love—our friends, our families, the ones God keeps bringing to mind, urging us to invite them this Easter season. We're praying for those who might only come once or twice a year—maybe because they feel like they have to, or maybe they're just not sure about this whole "church thing." Our prayer is that this Easter, something would spark in their hearts, drawing them closer to Jesus.
And we're also praying for us, because God often wants to do something in us before he does something through us. We’re asking God to prepare our hearts, to open our eyes, and to give us the courage and the clarity we need as Easter approaches.
So today, let’s lean in, let's engage, let's be open. Because maybe—just maybe—what God wants to do this Easter starts right here, today, with you and with me.
