Eleni May Lonadier - Celebration of Life

Aug 23, 2025

Eleni Lonadier Obituary

Miss Eleni May Lonadier was lovingly received into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 25, 2025 after a long fight through various health challenges.

Born in their home on August 24, 2024, Eleni was the cherished daughter of Brett and Patricia Lonadier, and the beloved little sister of Freddie, Anthony, and Brooks. She is survived by her devoted grandparents, Larry and Lucy Lonadier, Maria Williams, and Mark Paras; her great-grandparents, Patricia Vernon and Nick and Vaso Sarris; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Eleni always had her own way of doing things. She stumped medical professionals from across the globe. Whatever most babies typically did, Eleni did the opposite. She amazed them with her progress and engagement with people despite all her medical challenges. We never got to hear Eleni speak with words, but she sure knew how to communicate. She had her attitude face down and a smile and laugh that brightened the day of anyone who witnessed it. Eleni loved her own hands and feet, her stuffed animals, and talking on Facetime. Eleni’s name means sun ray, shining light, torch, or bright one. We named her this before we knew her, and yet she perfectly exemplified every word. In 11 months, she showed us how to be brave, how to smile through the pain we will all face on this side of heaven, and how to delight in the simple things- most of all, each other. Our hearts will always hurt and yearn for her presence in our family until we are reunited. Her life was an absolute gift that we cherish and she will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at Lifeway Church (114 S Congress St, York, SC 29745) on August 23, 2025 at 2 PM. The family requests attendants to wear bright colors to represent the joy and light Eleni brought into the world.
