Miracle - Week 3

We live in a culture and climate where enough is never enough. You see something you want, you work hard, and hopefully you save for it, and then you buy it. Only to realize after you've bought it that there's a bigger better model, with more options and features and space, and it goes faster, and it will allow you to stay longer. Our satisfaction has short-term memory issues. Our contentment is conditional. Our contentment is always dependent on the availability of more and better. And if you are a follower of Jesus, and even if you're not a follower of Jesus but you're a person who ask God for things, we tend to treat God the same way. In week 3 of Miracles ( https://subspla.sh/x9b4xrz ) Mark is going to show us miracles in the Bible that for a group of people, enough was never enough.

1. How would you feel if you were an Israelite and Moses had you leave Elim?
2. Read Exodus 16:1-8. How were the Israelites acting? What were they saying?
3. What does God’s plan seem to be?
4. Were the Israelites grateful for this? What was their response?
5. What was the point of the Sabbath? Why was it so hard for the Israelites to adhere to?
6. What are you saying to God when enough is never enough?
7. What are you saying to God when you will not obey His words?
8. Can you see any resemblance to us & the Israelites? In what ways?
9. In what ways can going through trials of testing from God strengthen our faith?
